Eric Rollings, candidate for Orange County Commission District 3 announced a new endorsement today from Democratic U.S. Congressman Darren Soto, who represents Florida’s 9th Congressional District.
Darren Soto is the first Floridian of Puerto Rican descent to serve in Congress. Darren has been a life-long advocate for the environment and in his first term in Congress passed the foreign oil spill prevention bill and a bill for Kissimmee River restoration.
Congressman Soto highlighted Eric’s own commitment to the environment, “Eric is a fierce champion of the environment and smart growth. He has been a trusted advisor of mine in our efforts to ban fracking, save our springs and push for renewable energy.”
While Soto was a State Senator, Eric Rollings served as Soto’s statewide spokesperson for his bill to ban fracking in the state of Florida. “I’m honored to have worked with Congressman Soto to ensure a cleaner environment for Orange County and across the state.”
